What has been attempted is,  that of restoring the image of the network, the close interconnection of that group of events, ideals, collective and individual behaviour, which are usually placed under the name of 1968, and end up by devoiding of meaning every convenient reductionism.

By calling "68", with conscious and deliberate emphasis, "A world revolution", it is desired to draw attention to the extraordinary synchrony and the enormous geographical diffusion of the protest movements, an expression of a prospect of change that affects all walks of life.
