All the countries of the Warsaw Pact sign a joint declaration in which the unity of the block is confirmed together with the Czechoslovakian loyalty to the Alliance.

The Montedison agreement is signed. Only a minimal part of the workers' requests was accepted.

The declaration of Bratislava seems to have lessened the tension in the area of the east. The tomes are a lot less strict than those assumed in previous occasions and the USSR announces the withdrawal of the last divisions deployed in Czechoslovakia for manoeuvres.

Another demonstration in Mexico City. This time the students number much more than 100,000 and propose an ultimatum to the government: if their requests are not satisfied within 72 hours, they will pass to armed struggle and boycott the Olympics.

Two dead in the clashes between students and police in Montevideo. The French minister of the Interior Marcellin states that from now on foreigners that do not observe political neutrality will be expelled from the country.
